How to resolve ORA-01882 timezone region not found

This document will guide you through the steps to resolve ORA-01882 timezone region not found error.

First, make sure you stop and close the RAPIDReverse application.

Start Konsole/Terminal from RAPIDClient the desktop.

Execute the command date +"%:z" to check your timezone. Take note of the output such as "-06:00":

[res@rapidclient ~]$ date + ā€œ%:zā€
-06:00

Open RAPIDClient Assistant utility from the RAPIDClient desktop. Enter the root password (default is dbasupport).

Select "View/Edit engine.properties file" menu and click OK. Then, select "engine.properties (current version)" menu and click OK.

Append -Duser.timezone= "6:00" with the output from previous step and SAVE.

Relaunch RAPIDReverse to test if your issue is resolved. If not, please contact us to perform more investigations.
